Gift Giving

I am working at a school and every December the children bring different presents to all of us. It is so nice to get something from the children that I’ve been working with. Just this week, I received the first and meaningful Christmas gift from a child who really likes me…it was so sweet…Most of the gifts that the children give are the following:

  • Chocolates
  • Candies
  • Gift Cards
  • chocolate cigars – they thought some of us puff, hihih
  • Bags
  • Frames
  • Mugs
That’s it…

We’re so excited to try snowboarding this winter. We have our snowboards already but we just need to wax it. Hopefully, it will snow more (but not too cold puhlease) so we could try snowboarding on the hills…Well, we still need to complete our gears….I am missing these things
RockyMountainTrail.com winter jackets – their jackets are really cool ;-)
goggles
helmet
gloves – his and hers
stomp pads for my snowboard

that’s it…hope we can do it asap!

We were eliminating some unnecessary clothes and this is what we came up with.

Let It Snow

It’s winter.. well, almost. Here, snow comes in autumn so, although it’s not yet officially winter, we already have snow once in a while. Not that plenty though but ample enough to make the ground look white.

One of the challenges with cold weather is getting around places. This is when owning an RV would be really great, having everything you need for winter right on your automobile. You just need to make sure you have enough batteries and gasoline. You also need to get yourself a good rv insurance because getting an RV fixed without it can really be expensive.

Well, snow will be up again soon. Need to gear up!

The Hunting

Even before Halloween, I have been doing a lot of hunting – job hunting that is. Good thing I had this close-to-regular project work which somehow helps me earn some income which I can send to the family back home.

A friend of ours whom we visited in New Jersey had a job in the medical field. I’m not sure if they have more Audiologist Jobs or other medical jobs in New Jersey compared to here. That actually made me think what if I try out the medical field. I’m not that easily grossed-out with blood or stuff so maybe it can be an option in the future.

I forgot the name but these folks were a great choir who sang songs at church. They do ministry on AIDS-stricken areas in Africa.

Snapshots

I was thinking of going to the park to do some picture taking while its autumn. Autumn colors are always interesting – orange, red, brown. And I hope we get to have nice pictures at the nearby park. For sure, winter will wipe out all the colors off the park. So might as well make sure we get the chance to take pictures while snow’s not yet there.
I think my camera is still okay for now. I was thinking initially of adding accessories to it for better pictures – like a good lens or flash maybe.
Of course, getting a new one would also be nice since there are a lot of new cameras at the source. However, I don’t have the budget yet. Maybe next time.
